Drug free Liberia

The Sustainable Actions in Preventing Drug Abuse in Liberia (SAPDAL) project is designed to carryout an advocacy program in Liberia to help young people attain from the dangers associated with taking drug. The project is organised by a group of alumni of the Young African Leadership Initiative (YALI) Regional Leadership Center (RLC) fellows who thought it wise of joining hands together to help stamp out drug use in a country so badly beaten by spate of civil wars that made drug use among promising youths very common. The project is set to enhance the lifestyle of over 12,000 Liberian youths with major activities being; Training 100 locals who will act as peer ambassadors, establish anti-drug clubs in primary and secondary schools, massive sensitization, and establishment of a radio drama series to help enhance awareness measures.
