Gasp

We were looking for a definition to the kind of experiences we wanted to create; that expression of amazement and wonder on those who find something more than they expected (=o). That's how we chose a short but descriptive word for all that we wanted to express. Gasp was born from an animation studio, Dotslash, based in Caracas/Venezuela, and located at the exclusive creative compound "The Creative Hill". Founded in 2004 by two professional animators: Jose A. Gomez and Alejandro Martinez, it aimed at raising the bar for 3d animation in Latin American advertising markets. Having achieved that goal after working on 50+ tv commercials, short films and music videos for some of the biggest brands, advertising agencies and production houses worldwide, earning the recognition as one of the top three most trusted animation and post production studios in the country, they aimed towards their biggest passion: videogames. In 2007, joined by Juan G. Campa on the lead programming and recognized musician Alex Perez on Sound Design, we begin to form the all-star team now known as Gasp, to take the success, experience and stability of dotslash to the gaming industry, creating already award winning games that have been greatly received by critics and media. Now we want to take those experiences to millions of homes.
