Gestalt psychotherapy is part of the humanistic stream in psychology (a holistic vision of psychology, that focus on leading a meaningful human life) and part of what is called "positive psychology" (that focuses on the strengths and virtues that enable individuals and communities to thrive, as opposed to the more classic approaches in psychology that concentrate on the pathologies of a person).
