MEET TAIWAN

Since 2009, Bureau of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Economic Affairs has actively promoted Taiwan's MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, exhibitions) industry, which has seen impressive improvements and achievements. To continue to promote the development of MICE industry, the "MEET TAIWAN" program will be promoted from 2013 to 2016, with the aim that under the support of Taiwanese government's policies, the MICE industry will grow internationally. With the objective of "making Taiwan's MICE an outstanding pioneer in MICE service," "MEET TAIWAN's" long-term objectives are to improve the quality and efficiency of MICE service, strengthen the international image and competitiveness of Taiwan's MICE brand and develop Taiwan into an important destination for global MICE." In addition to continuously communicating Taiwan's competitive advantages in MICE industry, the project will market Taiwan's MICE brand—MEET TAIWAN—to strengthen awareness of Taiwan's MICE industry with audiences locally and abroad, and ultimately attract more international MICE events to Taiwan.
