In Africa, many Startups face numerous challenges ranging from: Creativity, Technical And Managerial Skills, Investment Capital, Sector-Specific Competencies, Inadequate Information, Corruption, and Lack of Accurate Data On Bankable Startups. • Most startups get very little support for their business and have to place an abundance of focus on these challenges- thereby neglecting a vital economic trigger that could be their motivation to form pillars of development in their community. • Connecting young entrepreneurs with resources and like-minded peers in a digital environment. • Large corporations don't have access to massive and conclusive data in order to reach young entrepreneurs in Africa. No current ecosystem that provides such insight This is why the Startup Africa Network was formed. Startup Weekend Africa is a movement/community for startups in Africa challenging the mindsets of people by leveraging their best practices and networks. We are a new generation of drivers for innovation and often embrace disruption of the norm. We project success with every partnership as we work towards becoming one of the most active startup safe spaces on our Continent.
