Technima SA Plastics Industry was established in 1989, having as a main business activity the import and export of plastic materials dealing with Gas and Water Networks, as well as the construction of fish-farm cages made of HDPE . Up to 1994, the activities of the company focus on the above-mentioned fields, having also the representation of well-known European firms in Greece. 1994 - 1997 : Technima Ltd decides to enter the production of electro-fusion fittings, following a subsidized development state program, being the only HDPE fitting manufacturing company in Greece. The production of HDPE Electro-Fusion fittings started in 1995 in a factory in Inofita's Industrial area, approximately 50 km north of Athens. 2003 : Our facilities move to our new premises in Schimatari Industrial area, in a factory of 2.400 m2 and furthermore we were awarded with the new ISO 9001-2000. In 2004 our company was awarded with the SKZ-DVGW German certificate for gas and water networks. In 2005, the company was transformed into a S.A. . During 2010, the company was once again certified with the new ISO 9001:2008. Technima is an active and globally oriented company; though still mostly European markets, fact that is causing the 50% - 60% of the total volume of production to be directed to these markets, obvious trend for the further expansion plans of the company.
