We help avoid pitfalls and remove some of the mystique of the legal process for people going through divorce and civil partnership dissolution. Our aim is always to support clients in their relationship with their family lawyer, and to use our experience and skills to make divorce less stressful and less costly. We provide support in: * Examining your options. Might you reconcile? Where a relationship is over, whether to go to court or follow one of the alternative dispute models? * Appointing a legal team which suits your needs and, if appropriate, referring you to other specialists, such as therapists and financial advisers * Instructing lawyers and accompanying you to meetings. We help you ask the right questions, fully understand the answers and act as a "sounding board" before and after meetings * Putting the building blocks in place for financial proceedings, including preparing schedules of expenditure and gathering information for the Form E (financial disclosure document) and section 25 statement * Helping you to prepare for giving evidence in court * Domestic tasks such as dealing with utility and insurance companies * The emotional aspects of the divorce such as dealings with your (ex) spouse and family members * Preparing children's contact schedules; and * Securing litigation funding.
