YGA Capital is based in Yangon, and focuses on identifying investment opportunities in Myanmar. We are sector agnostic and look at a broad spectrum of opportunities from early stage projects to well-developed industry leaders. We believe in identifying strong business leaders with a good track record and providing the right support to help them grow their businesses. Our team has worked alongside global and regional private equity funds, and have made investments into the Telecom and Consumer sectors in Myanmar. Since inception, YGA Capital has successfully closed transactions bringing over US$200m of foreign capital into Myanmar companies. U Thura Ko Ko, Managing Director, is a Senior Advisor to TPG Capital, a US$60bn US-based private equity fund, and its affiliates. The principals of YGA Capital bring together over 30 years of investment banking and private equity experience from Goldman Sachs, UBS and Providence Equity. Daw Khin Htar Min advises on and assists with local regulatory matters.
