Curaçao has approximately 160,000 inhabitants. Willemstad, the capital of Curaçao attracts many tourists on a daily basis via cruise – and air tourism. The government of Curaçao operates in a complex and constantly changing environment and faces diverse social and economic challenges. This requires good governance, with a responsive and flexible approach. Employees of the government need to be enabled and stimulated to develop themselves and their surroundings. They need to be proactive, agile, creative and able to collaborate with diverse people and organizations. Cooperation with several public, private and non-governmental organizations, is central to working within the government of Curaçao.
