Panta Rhei GmbH

The Panta Rhei was founded in 2005 as a company. However, the origins of the ideas of Panta Rhei date back to 1981. At this time, Matthias Kählig already tried various parameters (temperature, feed) in the aquarium not so stable but to realize as variable sizes. During the study of geology and the diploma thesis "Mapping of Caribbean Lagoon Spaces"​ the first records and derivations for the different parameters water movement, temperature, light and water quality were developed. Subsequent work in the field of electrical engineering resulted in initial product developments, also for foreign brands, some of which are still on the seawater aquarium market today. These first products were mainly about water quality and light. The contact with the industry quickly led to new areas of responsibility that could not be further developed at this time. With the founding of a new company with significantly increased development competence and capacity, the decision was made in 2005 to establish the products to be developed on the market under its own brand. The first own product was the Hydro Wizard ECM 75. The success in the largest show aquariums and zoos in the world, Matthias encouraged the development of even smaller flow pumps to tackle. This resulted in the Hydro Wizard ECM 63 and the Hydro Wizard ECM 42.
