The Mother and Child Hospital Foundation is a registered NGO dedicated to supporting maternity hospitals in Albania. The purpose of the Foundation is to come alongside hospitals and secure the well-being of newborns and women in need by optimizing the health care, safety and comfort of patients. The Foundation also aims to introduce new ways of working in Albanian hospitals by bringing to Albania the western concept of a hospital foundation, which independently generates funds to meet the ever present needs for hospitals in an effort to improve healthcare services and increase transparency. Our vision is for every mother and newborn child in Albania to receive quality healthcare. Our mission is to partner with maternity hospitals in order to transform the quality of healthcare and patient experience by: Helping the medical staff have access to resources that ensure quality care; Raising funds to meet maternity hospitals' immediate and emerging needs; Increasing access to pre- and post-natal care of women, especially those in need through awareness-raising and advocacy campaigns; Providing basic necessities for families in need with newborn babies.
