In other words, the MEIM motor uses way less energy while maintaining the same torque and RPM as a standard electric motor. When you think about where we use electric motors, which is in everything from electric vehicles, to home appliances, the impact of the MEIM motor is clear. The MEIM motor can reduce the amount of energy required in everyday products, and that means power generation from coal, oil and nuclear could be cut in half, just by products using the MEIM motor. And then there is the electric car industry. The MEIM motor is so efficient, the company expects it to increase the range of electric vehicles by more than 12x their normal single charge range.
