GreenTech focuses on pro-poor and environmentally friendly products, production and marketing strategies with high potential of extension and diversification. The company plans are highly flexible and adaptable to changing market situations. As the demand for energy is rising with the rapidly growing population, prices for firewood and charcoal grow above the means of the average household. GreenTech is now able to replace firewood and charcoal with high density pressed biomass fuel products, which is priced competitive with other solid fuels on the market and easier to handle for transport and storage through their practical and unified shape and the clean and smooth surface. Thus, briquettes offer more comfort and efficiency, whilst they can be used for the same technologies and in the same manner as previously used solid biomass fuels (firewood, lose groundnut shells).
