Inclusive IT

Educational and commercial platform for testing accessibility of applications by NGO "Institute of Ukrainian studies" Why? To get the ability for people with disabilities become equal computer users - every disability can have some specific. What we do? We test different applications for make them more accessible. At the moment, we test Wordpress sites to be reached by blind and low-seeing people. We used our methodics based on world' standards of WCAG 2.0. Who we are? Inclusive IT is one of the initiatives, implemented by NGO "Institute of Ukrainian studies"(Lviv) since 2016. Our team includes: 3 project managers, 1 blind Python programmer, 1 blind content manager, 1 blind C++ programmer. We are greatly happy with the possibility to have ongoing assistance of seeing volunteers and members of NGO "Insitute of Ukrainian studies". What is educational part? We teach blind and low-seeing people to be good workers by developing the curriculum and providing practical remotes courses as English lessons, course if NVDA, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).We use the assistance both blind and seeing teacher and special approaches. What is commercial part? Now we have start project - corporate site of NGO "Institute of Ukrainian studies". There are several companies who have Wordpress sites that are interested in our services.
