The "Institute for Integration Policies and Social Cohesion" (IPIKS) is a non-profit public research body, which performs analysis, monitoring and evaluation of policies related to the European Integration of the Republic of Albania and the quantitative and qualitative growth of services to the Albanian citizen, the policies of education and training, social policies and all those public policies that have effects on social development and guarantee social cohesion. The strategic role in the new system of social policy governance in the Republic of Albania is determined by the inclusion in this institute of a great number of experts from all fields aiming to contribute voluntarily and in the interest of our society. IPIKS was born as a free initiative of professionals in various fields in order to create a research body in the public interest, supervised by a board of directors and which engages and includes research staff and technical-administrative staff. IPIKS cooperates with local and international partners, European institutions and is a non-governmental organizations engaged in promoting European values in the Republic of Albania. The purpose of IPIKS is to contribute to the scientific, economic and social development of Albania. The research activity of the Institute aims to study phenomena of strategic importance to the community, to provide information, knowledge and useful tools for policy makers to make their choices and for citizens to assess the impact of such decisions. This also means building public goods such as databases for the research world and for those called upon to make decisions in favor of the community. IPIKS activity targets a wide community of stakeholders: researchers, academics, the world of practice and policy makers, civil society organizations, journalists, data users, citizens, etc.
