Avalon Airport is Flying Made Easy. Based on an affordability and convenience business model, Avalon aims to offer passengers a convenient, uncomplicated and time-efficient service with pocket-friendly fares. Since 1994, Avalon Airport believes it has been consistently recording highest load factors in the industry. This is achieved through a balance of good on-time performance by Jetstar, transport options, consistent quality of customer service, customer experience at the airport, and smart fares. As part of its future outlook, Avalon Airport is aiming to increase airlines, destinations and frequency of flights both nationally and internationally. Avalon Airport is owned by the Linfox Group, which has been in the forefront of corporate Australia for over 50 years. The Avalon Airport Industrial precinct was launched in 2016 by the State Government, with Cotton On Group as the anchor tenant. Several hangars are leased by businesses in manufacturing and tech industries, who require access to both Melbourne and Geelong and to freight and logistics opportunities. Avalon Airport is establishing itself as a major employment and economic centre of the Melbourne – Geelong corridor. The airport is also the home to the Australian International Airshow, a biennial event that will be next staged in 2023.
