Porto Antico di Genova S.p.A. is joint-stock company whose shareholders are the Municipality of Genoa, the Chamber of Commerce and the Port Authority of Genoa. The company's mission is to restore the waterfront to the city, ensuring its thousand-year port area is entertaining and lively all year round. Porto Antico is the Square by the Mediterranean Sea: a city within a city. Here tourism, culture, shopping, shows, sports, food, boating have been brought back to life. In more than 20 years of activity, the area has become a top national and international tourist attraction thanks to the creation of public amenities, organization of events, cultural initiatives and the active development of conference activities. Porto Antico di Genova's Conference Department runs the Magazzini del Cotone Conference Center. Unyielding customer focus, trouble shooting and problem solving are our long time strong suits in supporting meeting planners in organizing conferences, conventions, exhibits, shows, product presentations and concerts. Since 2004, the Conference department of Porto Antico di Genova Spa has earned ISO 9001:2008 certification for its quality management system. Porto Antico di Genova – Events is in charge of promoting the area by producing, organizing and managing events, shows and concerts. Each of its 230,000 square meters can become the characteristic venue for consumer events, product launches, exhibitions, promotional activities, communication, sampling, street marketing, shooting of television commercials, fiction, movies and photo features. It is here that the Mediterranean ends and Genoa begins. Or, vice versa.
