SPARK! Ventures

The goal of SPARK Ventures is to create a new generation of enlightened leaders and changemakers. SPARK empowers high impact leaders across different fields that include: entrepreneurship, social development and filmmaking. 1) Entrepreneurship SPARK hosts 2 entrepreneurship programs. The first is SPARK LaunchPad, which actively works with exceptional startups to take their ventures to new heights, increasing revenues, improving cost structure, developing strategic partners and leading international expansion. http://spark-ventures.com/Launch.html The second program is the SPARK Entrepreneurship Summer Program for youth aged 15-25 which takes place in the beautiful beach town of El Gouna, Egypt. The program is about building entrepreneurial character, thinking and skills and equips youth with the tools they need to turn their ideas into startups. The program has been taking place since 2008 and receives thousands of applications each year, around 10% of applicants are admitted. 2) Social Development The SPARK Social Development program is designed to equip youth with the skills they need to launch high impact, scalable social projects in fields such as poverty alleviation, education, healthcare, women's rights, the environment etc. The program also takes place in El Gouna, Egypt 3) Filmmaking The SPARK Filmmaking program, brings together talented aspiring filmmakers and puts them through an intense program that includes workshops on screenwriting, directing, production, cinematography, and post-production. Participants then work in crews to shoot and edit their first short films. SPARK! creates an environment in the region where leaders can exchange ideas, build teams, access finance for their projects and find the support they need to grow their projects into profitable ventures driving local and global innovation.
