In 2016, the founders of myShaqo (NGO) were looking to fill a vacancy in Hargeisa, Somaliland. After a very bad experience and very high expenses, they decided to set up a completely free platform that connects employers with employees without any third-parties involved. Problem & Solution Young people make up over 75 percent of the population in Somaliland and Somalia, and over 65% of the youth are unemployed or displaced. Furthermore, another real problem is human migration. myShaqo is determined to influence the above: - Through the use of technology. - By encouraging employers in the private sector to advertise their vacancies. - By creating jobs directly and indirectly - Through comprehensive capacity building courses that are focused on helping people make a "real change".
