Apex Foundations Ltd. manufactures pre-insulated modular foundation walls with advanced properties on made-to-order basis. Our engineered wall system incorporates a polymer fiber-reinforced 80 Mpa concrete formula with an integrated crystalline water-proofing admixture called Kryton KIM (Kryton Internal Membrane). Apex walls are designed to consume about 25% less concrete than conventional foundation walls with outstanding strength and durability properties. Our modules are fully pre-insulated with a minimum of 3" of continuous R-Tech full-recyclable Insulfoam R-Tech permanently bonded to the concrete structure at the time of casting, providing a fully-insulated drywall-ready basement on completion of installation, excluding the floor slab. This interior thermal barrier is 100% free of thermal-bridging found in regular stud walls where studs interrupt the insulation panels at regular intervals. Moreover, R-Tech's interior surface is vapour-proof eliminating the need for additional vapour barrier. Our walls are engineered to incorporate both a rebar-reinforced top beam and footing and welded steel rib structures as well as lateral seismic reinforcing. No additional footing is required and the walls are simply stood up and connected on a bed of clean crush in the excavation.
