What is Buy to Let Solutions? Buy to Let solutions are people who are offering solutions to the Buy to Let housing sector in Ireland. We hope to bring a new vision – a new perspective and new energy - to give new alternatives and options. Our primary objective is to set up a Reit for this sector. This is not the typical investor driven commercial Reit but rather a Single Family Home Residential Reit which is will be set up to provide long term high quality rental accommodation for families and individuals. To make all this happen we are taking an approach to assist and support owners to sort out their affairs and to bring clarity and transparency to the management of properties. This will help owners come forward, engage with and work with banks and also give the banks confidence that progress is being made. We will introduce a consensual quasi receiver process and to bring both owner and bank into a mutually beneficial relationship - sorting out serious issues of mortgage arrears and distressed properties. As we take properties into management we will be building a portfolio for the REIT – a selection of quality properties available to rent under common ownership and management. Our plans envisage that current owners will be enabled to take shares in the REIT in return for placing their properties in it. Also owner-occupiers will be enabled to swap the mortgages on their homes and become shareholders instead. Finally the largest area will be investors looking for tax efficient good investment opportunities. Buy to Let Solutions are offering banks a strong and viable alternative to the distressed buy to let mortgage crisis. Alternatives that will save banks in the short run and also in the long term.
