Cheval was established in 1995 as a principal lender in the asset-backed short term finance market more commonly known as bridging finance. Cheval Bridging Finance Ltd is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA). All Cheval Group companies hold a consumer credit licence to enable them to enter into consumer credit agreements. Cheval was the first bridging finance lender to become a full member of the Council of Mortgage Lenders (CML). We are also a founder member of the Association of Short Term Lenders with one of our directors sitting on the board and a long standing patron of the National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (NACFB).
