EastBay Master Fund, LP (the "Fund") is a long / short equity fund focused on the Asian Consumer and Technology sectors. While the Find invests across Asia in all market caps, the vast majority of Fund exposure is in under-followed Japan small and mid cap equities. Returns are generated utilizing a bottom up, fundamental research approach coupled with opportunistic trading which seeks to exploit the inefficient Japan SMID cap market. The portfolio typically holds 40-50 positions at any given time with leverage of 150% to 200% and guideline net exposure of +/ 25%. The portfolio's low net exposure with all single stock short positions and minimal factor bets positions the Fund to achieve superior net returns in all market environments with low correlation to market indices. Steve Landry, a Founding Partner and Sole Managing Member, has twenty-five years of industry experience and has been the Chief Investment Officer of the Fund since inception.
