Founded in 1974, Lateef Investment Management, L.P., was the predecessor firm of TCM – Tran Capital Management. The company was transformed following a management buyout in 2017 led by Quoc Tran, Chief Investment Officer, and Eric Winterhalter, President. In 2021, the firm was renamed after four years of improved investment performance and business management. TCM manages concentrated equity strategies for institutions and high net worth investors following a growth at a reasonable price, or GARP, style. A four-member investment team manages the Multi-Cap Growth Strategy, the Partners Strategy, and the Focused Sustainable Growth Fund. The firm is focused on: Portfolio Concentration TCM portfolios each comprise a diversified collection of stock of 15 to 25 companies. The practice of concentrating investment capital in a smaller number of securities is designed to maximize alpha by focusing on our highest-conviction ideas. Growth at a Reasonable Price (GARP) Style TCM invests in growing companies whose valuations are not so dear as to preclude robust returns to their shareholders. By seeking not to pay to high a price for stocks, TCM seeks to improve the risk-return profile of its clients' portfolios.
