NePals e.V. was founded by a group of students with the aim to contribute to the improvement of the living situation in Nepal. Since a part of our group, among them Fabien Matthias the founder of NePals e.V., experienced the big earthquake in Nepal in April 2015, we feel more connected to the country than ever. We have become painfully aware of how natural we take things like clean drinking water, good medical care, a roof over our heads or access to education for granted. Nepal is far from this matter of course. Our commitment has its origins in the emergency care of earthquake victims in 2015. We supplied remote, particularly badly affected mountain villages in Nepal with food, hygiene articles and tents, and we also provided the necessary support for the reconstruction of some villages. But what began as short-term emergency aid became a long-term affair of the heart. In winter 2016, Fabien Matthias founded the non-profit organisation "NePals.e.V.". Within a very short time, various impressive projects and project concepts for the improvement of the living conditions in Nepal were developed. With the constant development of our projects, our network of members and cooperations at home and abroad grew as well. Together we pursue the motto "Be a Pal - Rethinking Development Aid Together".
