Nokware Skincare was founded in October 2017. Nokware ["Knock-Wah-Ri"] means "Truth" in Twi, a local Ghanaian dialect. Originating from Africa's rich traditions and resources, Nokware is a 100% organic brand! We are committed to providing you with a blend of the finest natural ingredients sourced from sustainable local farms in West Africa. Nokware is Earth's true gift to you. It's natural. It's organic. It's you. Nokware Skincare currently has three product lines: African Black Soaps (4 variants), Shea Butter (4 variants) and Lip Balms (4 variants). Our African black soaps will always have a soft spot in our hearts because they were our very first products to be launched in October 2017. 100% of the ingredients and packaging for our soaps are sourced locally, and derived from nature. Our Shea Butters have quickly become customer favorites, receiving wide-spread praise for their buttery feel, amazing smell and the real, visible results they produce. As the second product launch of our company, our butters truly encompass the essence of Nokware and our focus on stand-out, biodegradable bamboo packaging, as well as the sourcing of a majority of the ingredients from local women's co-operatives across West Africa. Our "how a'pout now" lip balms were launched in August 2019 and are Nokware's newest labor of love. We are doubly proud of this new launch because as our company and product line grows, we continue to adhere to our guiding principles of local ingredient sourcing, sustainable packaging, inclusive beauty and women's empowerment. Even though Tutuwa's great-grandmother may not have passed the formulation of these lip balms on through generations, we know she would be incredibly proud of how we are building on her foundational knowledge and honoring her legacy.
