Why Startup Hacks? Startups are hard, because they need to deliver big results with limited resources and do it fast. Management need to make decisions with very limited information, very often outside their area of expertise. All this in fast changing market environment and with too many distractions. That applies also to bigger tech organisations, but growing business that way requires startup mentality and specific know-how, which is often counterintuitive to people that haven't operated like that before. I have a very broad operating experience working in three startups and observed closely struggles of many more startups as a VC. Too many times I have seen management make the same mistakes that could be avoided, however only with the benefit of hindsight, or... by someone who has seen or made it before. Although there is no one formula for success, there are many proven ways to do things right and limit risk of making irreversible mistakes. These are what I call startup hacks.
