Founded in 1970 by Dr. Kenneth H. Cooper, The Cooper Institute is a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to promoting life-long health and wellness through fitness research, education and advocacy. The Cooper Center Longitudinal Study (CCLS) is our treasure - the world's largest and longest-running observational study on measured aerobic fitness. FitnessGram by The Cooper Institute is the national test of the Presidential Youth Fitness Program and is the most widely used youth physical fitness assessment and reporting tool in the world, measuring the physical and aerobic fitness of over 10 million students across the country.
