Upstream has been helping clients navigate complex challenges since being founded in 2016. We adopt a progressive, straight talking approach, based on anthro-complexity and adaptive safety approaches. The Health & Safety solutions we provide add real value to the businesses we serve, positively influencing their resilience both internally & externally. We are experienced in identifying aspects of work that help & hinder employee wellbeing, known as psychosocial aspects of work. We facilitate sense-making workshops which equip decision-makers in the organisation with valuable insights from which to base their decisions on. Our clients have found this approach to be more powerful than traditional goal orientated approaches, which tend to strive to attain an ideal future state. In contrast using the complexity approach we explore the evolutionary potential of the present and take small steps trying to nudge the organisation in a certain direction. We are an active member of the Cognitive Edge network of practioners, ensuring our clients always benefit from the latest developments and research emerging from Complex Adaptive Systems theory.
