University Preparatory Academy

University Preparatory Academy (UPA) is a new charter school located in the Tampa Bay Area. The mission of our network is to provide educational access and a college preparatory experience to students in communities that have traditionally been underserved. The school will lead a group of talented teacher-leaders, training and coaching them in curriculum design and instructional best practices. These steps are critical to ensuring curricular alignment within our schools, which will help us to achieve our goal of creating and sustaining a high performing network of schools for the students of South St. Petersburg and the state of Florida.
