PURPOSE: The purpose of Lancaster County Department of Economic Development (LCDED) is to support and build the economic climate of Lancaster County in order to improve its economic future and quality of life for all. We develop and maintain an investment climate that is attractive both nationally and internationally as well as encourages the growth and sustainability of our existing industries. The 19-member Economic Development Advisory Board (EDAB) appointed by the Lancaster County Council advises LCDED on a variety of economic development matters and strategic planning initiatives.
