Aspect Ecology's established team is highly qualified in all areas of ecological planning. Our understanding of the planning system allows us to deliver practical solutions to ecological issues within development sites. Our ecologists are experienced in undertaking survey work in the majority of UK terrestrial and aquatic habitat types with project work regularly undertaken in England, Wales and Ireland. Faunal surveys are a mainstay of our work with species specific surveys regularly undertaken for protected species such as bats, Badger, Great Crested Newt, reptiles, Water Vole, Otter, Hazel Dormouse and crayfish as well as red data book or other notable, rare or scarce species. However, the strength of our practice lies in our expertise in advising with regards to mitigation solutions where significant ecological issues are identified. Our ecologists work closely within a project team to devise mitigation solutions that fit practically within development masterplans so that in most cases both the planned development and any significant ecological interests can be fully accommodated. Aspect Ecology is an approved Worksafe Consultant recognised by the Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) forum.
