Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023

In 2023, the world's largest inclusive sports event took place at the heart of Europe. Germany welcomed approximately 7,000 athletes from around 190 countries. The sports city Berlin is looking back to to a coloful festival - for more recognition and participation of people with intellectual disabilities! With the World Games, we are sending a global signal for social inclusion. We want to encourage rethinking and break down barriers in people's minds. Our goal is to work closely with German communities and to open sports clubs and other institutions to people with intellectual disabilities.
