The Science of Fun is a highly engaging STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education company for elementary-age students in downtown Decatur. We offer afternoon enrichment programs during the school year and full day camps during school breaks and the summer. Our programs encourage curiosity, experimentation, risk-taking and a growth mindset. Our co-ed camp values hearty outdoor play, solid interpersonal coaching and engaging hands-on STEM activities for girls and boys. Most of our activities are open-ended and the finished product looks different for everyone. We love to encourage our kids to be creative and push the boundaries of design and imagination. As the campers work in small groups, our staff is close at hand to offer support and talk with each camper about what they are doing. Each day we have recess and hands-on experiments such as slime, rockets, and roller coasters. Underneath it all we have a lot of structures, routines and best practices that help our kids be successful.
