At moa, we are dedicated to helping farmers feed the world safely and securely for decades to come. Their ability to do so is challenged on many fronts, including a growing population, rising living standards that drive more consumption, climatic changes that threaten traditional growing regions, and mounting evidence that current agricultural practices are not only losing their efficacy but may challenge the long-term ability of the Earth to sustain us. Among these many challenges, moa is tackling the urgent problem of herbicide resistance head on. The chemistries that farmers count on to make sure the water, nutrients, and hard work they put into their fields are reserved for the crops that feed us, rather than weeds that don't, are rapidly losing efficacy as weeds evolve resistance to herbicides. This problem, much like that of antibiotic resistance in human healthcare, is the product of an innovation drought that has seen the overuse of just a few products year after year, making them lose their power to control weeds and increasing their negative environmental impacts. moa use new technology, following nature's lead, to discover and develop new weed control strategies and chemistries that will enable farmers to increase and sustain high-quality food production while reducing the impact on the environment.
