Caritas Christi Health Care

Established in 1985, Caritas Christi Health Care was the second largest community-based hospital network in New England, consisting of six community hospitals. Each hospital and facility within the Caritas family, while part of an extensive network of health care providers, had its own rich history of providing outstanding, compassionate care right in the communities where patients need it most. In 2010, Steward Health Care System acquired Caritas Christi Health Care. Hospitals in the system include the original six of Caritas and five newly acquired hospitals. Other Steward Health Care entities include Steward Physician Network, Steward Home Care and Hospice.
