Rumbek University of Science and Technology

Rumbek University of Science and Technology was established on 18th February 2008 by an Act of Parliament. The University consists of four Campuses namely; Main, Mabui, Eastern and Aluakluak campuses. The University is closely involved in the national development process of South Sudan. In this regard, the special functions of the University are to engage in improving the quality and expanding the quantity of the human resources needed for development and to act as the repository of the shared knowledge and skill of the nation and the world. The first of these functions are fulfilled through the teaching programmes offered by the University which leads to the award of degrees and diplomas. The second function is carried out individually and collectively by the staff of the University through the research, development, and information services that they undertake. Like any other complex organization, the University has established certain patterns of authority, specialization systems, and rules of procedure, in order to perform its functions in a systematic and efficient manner. These regulate day-to-day work within the University.
