The West Side Tennis Club often surprises first time visitors. In the heart of New York City's fast-paced life, the Club is an oasis of green velvet lawns and Tudor architecture located in Forest Hills Gardens. Just minutes from the bustle of midtown Manhattan, the Club is conveniently located near mass transportation, including the E, F, M, and R subway lines. The Long Island Railroad also stops regularly in Forest Hills within steps of the Club. As America's most historic and iconic showcase for tennis, The West Side Tennis Club has been the site of some of the sport's most memorable moments. It has hosted what is now known as the US Open grand slam tournament for over 60 years before it was moved to the National Tennis Center in Flushing, NY in 1978. Here at The West Side Tennis Club, we celebrate our club's rich tradition of excellence while providing training for all levels of play. Whether you're a beginner, intermediate, recreational, or competitive player, The West Side Tennis Club offers programs, match play, clinics, and camps to help you get the most out of your game while having fun. Club members have the benefit of learning from our accomplished tennis instructors and former French Open doubles champion Luke Jensen, Director of Racket Sports, who brings a high level of passion, experience, and energy to our programs and players. The historic 14000 seat Forest Hills Stadium, located at The West Side Tennis Club, has also once again become one of New York's top venues for concerts and entertainment.
