Midian Electronics was founded in 1975 specializing in MTS, IMTS and Pulse Tone encoders and decoders. In 1981 Midian introduced its first voice scrambler. In addition to its extensive voice security and tone encoder and decoder lines, Midian's product line has continued to expand to include Interoperability, ANI Systems, Tone Remotes, Radio-Telephone Interconnects, Paging and Dialing products and more. Midian Electronics has sold hundred of thousands of radio encryption modules for use in two-way radios including Motorola, Kenwood, Vertex and Icom. Midian's TVS-2 hopping code scramblers have been used by the US Army, Russian Army, Indian Army, as well as many other military, public safety and fleet users. Midian's ANI Systems include ANI encoders and ANI display decoders supporting popular formats such as Motorola's MDC-1200, Kenwood's FleetSync, Harris' G-Star (aka GE-Star), DTMF and 5-Tone.
