Matthew Flinders Anglican College is one of Queensland's leading independent co-educational Prep - Year 12 schools, offering an education for excellence in learning and life. Academic Excellence In 2019, Year 12 student results included 11 OP1s and 9 OP2s, with 57.5% of the Year 12 cohort receiving an OP1-7. Founded in 1990, the College's strong academic reputation is a reflection of its students who are motivated to learn and excel, its experienced and passionate teachers who inspire curiosity and confidence, and an engaged and caring College community. Opportunities to Excel In class and beyond, rich co-curricular programs are offered across the arts, drama, music, sport and service learning. Impressive Learning Environment Located in Buderim at the heart of the Sunshine Coast and surrounded by rainforest, Flinders provides an impressive learning environment for students to excel. The Prep to Year 12 campus is situated beside the Flinders Early Learning Centre to support children of ages 3 to 6 years. Outstanding College facilities include a state-of-the-art performance centre, aquatic centre and floodlit sports ovals, as well as an on-site farm, an outdoor classroom and guided nature walk. The newly opened Year 7 Precinct is part of the Flinders Master Plan.
