An Mheitheal Rothar

An Mheitheal Rothar is Galway's Community Bike Workshop. A meitheal is an Irish word for a group of neighbours who get together to get something done - a bit like a barn raising in the US. We support Galway's cyclists with repairs and maintenance, as well as running free DIY workshops where anyone can learn to fix their bike for free. We also run a sustainable enterprise called ReCycle Your Cycle, taking bikes sent for scrap to Galway's civic waste facility and fixing them up for sale at affordable prices. We welcome volunteers and Tús scheme participants.
