El Ministerio del Ambiente, Agua y Transición Ecológica del Ecuador, de acuerdo con lo estipulado por el pueblo ecuatoriano en la Constitución Política de la República del Ecuador de 2008, velará por un medio ambiente sano, respeto a los derechos de la naturaleza o pacha mama. Garantizará un modelo sostenible de desarrollo ambientalmente equilibrado que respete la diversidad cultural, conserve la biodiversidad y la capacidad de regeneración natural de los ecosistemas y asegure la satisfacción de las necesidades de las generaciones presentes y futuras. The Ministry of the Environment and Water, in accordance with the stipulations of the Ecuadorian people in the Political Constitution of the Republic of Ecuador of 2008, will ensure a healthy environment, respect for the rights of nature or pacha mama. It will guarantee a sustainable model of environmentally balanced development that respects cultural diversity, conserves biodiversity and the natural regeneration capacity of ecosystems, and ensures the satisfaction of the needs of present and future generations.
