We are Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service (MFRS). Our vision is to be the best Fire & Rescue Service in the UK- One team, putting our communities first. We will do everything we can to save lives and keep our firefighters safe. We are a team of diverse people undertaking a varied range of roles with the common goal of keeping our communities at the heart of everything we do. We have a long and proud history which is reflected in our place, our culture and our people- all part of what makes us a great Service to be a part of. MFRS provides a wide range of emergency response and prevention services. We have 22 Community Fire Stations and a Marine Rescue Unit who protect and respond to the 1.4 million residents of Merseyside. Our Home Fire Safety Check programme is at the heart of our prevention strategy. We have fitted over 1 million free smoke detectors, giving bespoke fire safety advice and signposting at risk members of the community to partner service providers. Our response standards remain among the fastest in the country and we aim to achieve a response within 10 minutes on 90% of occasions. We are here to serve, here to protect and here to keep you safe.
