The Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester Council of Governments is a regional planning agency and voluntary association of local governments. Our role is to assist leaders in addressing common needs, cooperating for mutual benefit, and coordinating for regional development. The agency's purpose is to strengthen both the individual and collective power of local governments and to help them recognize regional opportunities, eliminate duplications, and make joint decisions. Through thoughtful planning and partnerships with our members, we work to ensure prosperity for the Tri-County.
