The Goan

A part of Fomento Publications, the media division of Sociedade de Fomento Industrial Pvt Ltd, this is the first foray of the Goa based Mining conglomerate's into media business. The Goan on Saturday (simply referred to as The Goan) is its flagship weekly newspaper launch on July 28, 2012 which has led to the return of traditional value based incisive and in the face journalism in the tiny state of Goa. After a modest start in its first year and half of its launch, the newspaper has grown up by a staggering 180% in circulation and by an astronomical margin in its web and online traffic. In 2015, the company will be launching a slew of publications to further strengthen its base and grip on the region's media business.
