Founded in 2016 with R & D origins in 2008, FiberLean Technologies is a pioneer in commercializing MFC micro-fibrillated cellulose on an industrial scale. Globally we provide solutions and technology for customers in paper and packaging. We are also developing business in the building materials and food industries. FiberLean Technologies applies its industrial, reliable, and scalable process to proliferate FiberLean® MFC formulations—made from natural, renewable, abundant managed forests and recycled paper waste. The centerpiece of the FiberLean business offer is uniquely manufactured MFC modules on-site, delivering high-quality MFC, economic and sustainability gains for customers by our team of experts. FiberLean Technologies GmbH is a company of the Werhahn Group and is headquartered in Neuss, Germany. Innovations from FiberLean include the use of MFC technology to convert a brown board machine to White Top by eliminating the capital expenditures typically associated with a rebuild and lost production time. FiberLean MFC can assist with natural barrier alternatives, as well as strength gains, lightweighting, and more productive cycles of recycled fiber. With the addition of MFC, less expensive composites—primarily fiber and minerals—are proven to reduce costs and allow for a more flexible raw material supply. Substitution for starch and synthetic coating barrier materials is not only possible but proven by FiberLean.
