The mission of the Child Protection Center is the Prevention, Intervention and Treatment of Child Abuse. All of the Child Protection Center's services are provided through five distinct programs for children and families who suffer from the trauma of child abuse. These programs are: the Child Protection Team(CPT)which conducts medical examinations and forensic interviews for victims of alleged child abuse; the Sexual Abuse Treatment Program (SATP) which provides therapy for children and families suffering from the trauma of sexual and physical abuse; the Personal Safety and Community Awareness Program (PSCA) which teaches children and adults the attitudes, skills and behaviors necessary to keep children safe; the Kid Kindness Program (KKP) which provides therapy for children who exhibit aggressive behavior and the Supervised Visitation Program (SVP) which facilitates court ordered visits between non-custodial parents and their children.
