Situated on a beautiful hilltop location with stunning views of Brighton, Varndean College is a highly successful and unique sixth form college offering academic excellence. With an outstanding academic track record, where students become academically accomplished and flourish as part of a welcoming, inspirational and close-knit family, the College offers over 30 traditional A Levels, a diverse range of Vocational Courses and Level 2 courses, as well as the prestigious and internationally recognised International Baccalaureate Diploma. Varndean is the only state-funded college in Sussex to offer this IB qualification. With approx 2000 students aged 16-19, Varndean provides a real community ethos with outstanding support, where students thrive and where we put student happiness at the heart of everything we do. Varndean College also offers a diverse range of courses and opportunities for adult learning within the local community; from qualification courses in counselling and childcare, GCSEs, to evening classes in art & craft, IT, photography, music, languages, health and fitness.
