Our mission is to act by offering opportunities and strengthening the self-esteem of children and young people in Pantanal to cultivate #hope and promote #prosperity in the region through education, culture, information, and artistic manifestations. The Sabá Project is a #socialproject that reflects the memory of Sebastião Pery Assumpção - better known as Sabá - who educated his 6 sons and 2 daughters with all love and respect during his journey on Earth from 1928 to 1996. "My sons and daughters will be the core that does not crack, that does not rot, a race that the Brazil of tomorrow will be able to count on." — Sebastião Pery Assumpção, O Sabá The project was conceived by the teacher and geographer Flávio Aparecido Assumpção, Sabá's youngest son who moved to Poconé (Mato Grosso, Brazil) in 2018 to teach geography at a local school. Then, at the end of 2019, Flávio also started to give free capoeira classes to low-income children from two neighborhoods in the city. Fortunately, in 2020 the teacher received a very special invitation to support the local Community Center that is helping the neediest families. In short, the Sabbat Project was officially born. We currently directly support +30 families with food, 2 families with medicine, and +100 children with #Education, #Culture, #Arts , and #Sports.
