Amedeo Giovanni s.r.l. is a family-owned company specialized in the processing citrus fruits and their derivatives. The plant, located a few kilometers from Reggio Calabria, has three differentiated and flexible lines for the transformation of citrus and works - in different periods of the year - lemons, bergamots, sweet and bitter oranges, tangerines, clementines, Sicilian limes, cedars and grapefruit. The entire production cycle of transformation takes place inside: control of fruit entering, first processing and extraction of essential oils; extraction, concentration, storage and/or freezing of natural juices; processing of peel for the candied fruit market. From the initial activity - started in 1890 by the grandfather of Giovanni Amedeo and aimed solely at the extraction of essential oils with the "sponge" method - the company has expanded its offer, diversifying production and has evolved its profile through a specialization in skills which has helped to refine the range of products, also using fruit in their entirety. Currently the citrus derivatives produced by the company are essential oils, juices and peel. Each process is strictly in accordance with HACCP requirements: all lines are checked with the utmost attention at each stage of processing. The experience acquired during a century of activity has allowed us to make prudent management choices, always with a focus on research and development that , using the most advanced technologies, is able to constantly improve processing processes and machinery, a guarantee for obtaining high levels of production, batch homogeneity and maintenance of yield even in the long term.
